ONE switches on 4G network in Macedonia

Macedonian mobile operator ONE, a unit of Telekom Slovenije, launched its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in the country on August 29, offering subscribers a bouquet of three tariff plans with prices starting from 599 denar ($7.77) per month, according to Telegeography.com on Sept 2, 2014. The details of the packages are: Mobile Net S 4G (10GB data) for 599 denar, Mobile Net M 4G (20GB data, 999 denar) and Mobile Net L 4G (40GB data, 1,599 denar) LTE packages. Users wishing to access the 4G LTE network will require a uSIM card and 4G USB modem to use the new service. In August 2013, ONE was awarded a license by the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC) for 2×10MHz of spectrum in the 800MHz band and 2×15MHz of 1,800MHz spectrum for LTE services.
