TTK opens Wimax networks in more cities, towns
The Russian operator TTK has started its Wimax networks in five cities and towns across the country, Telecompaer.com reported on Sept 23, noting that networks have been deployed in the city of Kostroma, in Balakovo and Engels in the Saratov region, in Ukhta in Komi, and in Yelets in the Lipetsk region. TTK provides Wimax services in places where it has frequencies in the 3.5-GHz band. The service brings speeds of up to 10 Mbps, with LTE-Ready equipment providing the service.
